Free Calligraphy Resources

Copperplate Calligraphy Uppercase Exemplar

WHEN I FIRST set foot on my calligraphy journey, I often felt overwhelmed and lost—burdened by self-imposed expectations and clueless as to how I was doing. My resolve to learn this new skill began to fracture.

But, when a door closes, another opens. My initial failures were a learning opportunity for patience and progress.

I was truly grateful to veteran calligraphers who freely provided resources to help overcome many of my challenges. To follow in the footsteps of these charitable individuals, I’ve created a collection (which I’ll continuously add to) of free resources that I hope you’ll enjoy and find useful.

Keep calm and script on,

  1. This is amazing and so giving, thank you for allowing us to follow in your footsteps to learn and to give back as well. So inspirational ❤️🙏🏼

  2. God bless! I bought one item from etsy shop thinking it is a simple guideline with some alphabet letters like a picture it showed. It turned out to be one blank guideline page. So thank you for your generosity.
I feel exactly how you felt now in the blog you mentioned. There are many beautiful styles I want to learn. So I now have a couple of modern calligraphy books, copperplate manual, palmer method etc. I asked someone on instagram how he became so good at many different styles and he said he just copied others(no courses)! What is your opinion?

    1. Hi Mari, Thank you for your kind feedback, and am glad you find my resources helpful. I think emulating others is a good starting point—especially traditional calligraphy like Copperplate. With time and practice, you’ll start to develop your own style. That’s an exciting phase that I think you’ll enjoy.

  3. hello ma’am! This is actually something so useful for beginners like me. I was so confused to start my journey for calligraphy but this has made my life so simpler. Thankyou so much <3
